Reading Food Labels

We were looking for snacks at our Walmart and found this pretty shocking. Based on the pictures and packaging most people would think the granola bar on the right would be better for you until you start to read the label…..



Pop Tart:

The Pop Tart has fewer calories from fat, less fat, less sugar, more iron and the same amount of protein. The granola bar does have fewer carbohydrates and sodium but has only 3 advantages and the Pop Tart had 6 advantages.

So look at the label before you buy.
